God Is Bringing the Nations to Our Doorstep

Through our evangelistic outreach at Jeonbuk National University last week, the Lord gave us opportunities to speak with several international exchange students studying in South Korea.

Several of these students come from nations within the 10/40 Window—places where access to clear biblical Gospel preaching can be limited and, in some cases, following Christ can carry real risk. Yet by God’s grace, here in Korea they have been able to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ clearly. We have also been able to show them Christlike compassion in practical ways, helping with everyday needs and building genuine relationships.

One student from a Muslim background, after hearing the Gospel, professed faith in Jesus Christ as his Saviour. His friends continue attending our Friday International Open Worship Service, where we continue sharing the Word of God and the message of salvation.

What an extraordinary mission field God has placed before us. Our ministry in Jeonju is not limited to reaching Koreans. God is bringing to our doorstep students from nations that might be difficult for us to enter as missionaries, and here we have the freedom to preach Christ to them.

We want to keep reaching these students. This kind of evangelism requires resources: meeting spaces, meals, Gospel materials, transportation, and events that allow us to meet students and have personal Gospel conversations. These relationships are not simply found while passing by on the street; we intentionally create opportunities to reach students where they are.

Help us keep putting the Gospel in front of students who may otherwise never hear it clearly. Every gift to the JBNU Evangelistic Outreach helps us open one more door, have one more Gospel conversation, and reach one more soul. Events have a cost. A soul does not have a price.
